I would love to do this retreat in person with you, deep in the beautiful Spanish countryside with beaches to walk along, woodland to wander in, traditional villages to get lost in, gorgeous open spaces to lose yourself, find yourself, reconnect and gain perspective.

However, I know you’re all busy and to do all of this for free just wouldn’t be possible. I also know that retreating from the daily stresses of our world, whether virtually or in real life, is essential. We all need to make some space for ourselves, to take a step back, gain a bit of perspective and just breathe! This is especially true in sobriety whether you’re just starting out or contemplating the idea, it is a big step. To help you take that step, I will be your guide, your mentor, your friend. Together we will embark on a journey that will help you to learn how to put yourself first, to put yourself before your drinking.

Sobriety changed my life, in more ways that I ever imagined. The one key lesson I learned is that in order to be sober and happy about it, I must be kind to myself, to put myself first, to get to know myself and learn to love myself for who I am. This is not selfish, it is vital, yet somehow we still manage to put ourselves at the bottom of the list even when we are doing something as empowering as choosing to live an alcohol free life.

So often when we decide to stop drinking, we think it’s enough to just remove the alcohol – it isn’t. True happiness in sobriety comes from self care and self discovery but we seem to discover this by accident, almost like an afterthought which can make the journey so much harder than it needs to be.

sober retreat

The aim of this free 7 day virtual retreat is to help you connect with yourself first, to understand who you are, what you love, what you need and who you want to become without alcohol in the mix. I will give you the tools and skills to learn how to put yourself first, to understand that alcohol is getting in the way of your life, your passions and your dreams. By reconnecting and showing yourself the love and respect you deserve, you will see that alcohol has no place in your life and you will be in a far happier place when it is time to say goodbye.

This mini virtual retreat will take place over seven days. All you need is 20 minutes or so to read the lesson and then do the exercise that follows. I say exercise, it is more like a small act of self love, a gift which you can keep opening again and again. The lessons are designed to build on from each other as the retreat unfolds. The beauty of this course is that it will grow and develop as you do, you can keep going back whenever you need to. Yes, the course is 7 days long but each lesson is like an introduction to a new skill, a new practice and awareness that you can bring with you to your everyday life, today, tomorrow, for the rest of your life.

“I have finished your retreat and I found it very useful, particularly writing things down because as in our conversation it forces it you to look at yourself and face reality. I am happy to say that I haven’t had a drink at all for a week, that hasn’t happened for about a year! The most useful thing was actually speaking to you so thanks for your time.” – Anna
