Sober Bliss Meets Voice of Calm. Talking to people who are on the same journey to sobriety as I am, is so inspiring, supportive and comforting and I think there is such power to be had from sharing and listening to other people’s stories.
That is why I decided to create the Sober Bliss Podcast and share the wonderful discussions I have had with people since I began this journey. In Episode four, Sober Bliss meets Voice of Calm, the lovely Liz and we talk about how to stop drinking and find your own inner peace.
Liz talks about her own relationship with alcohol and how the way she was drinking, the constant battle and always thinking about drinking was getting in the way of everything. We discuss the amazing awakening she had which led her to make the decision to stop, to step into her power as she embraced her determination and go from believing that she would never stop drinking to really feeling deep down that she would never drink again.

During our chat, Liz shares some of her sober tools including alcohol free alternatives, spending some time in AA and how she built an incredible support network around her. We talk about finding inspiration in the stories of other people and how exercise, yoga and meditation helped Liz to get through the early challenges and still continue to support her today.
The most powerful part of Liz’s story is hearing how she found her own voice of calm and went from feeling lost to finding herself again. The joy of accepting and liking herself was just too good for Liz to sacrifice for the instant gratification that alcohol used to bring her.
Quitting drinking has brought Liz so much happiness and her relationships with her family, friends and most importantly herself have improved so much, that quitting alcohol really was absolutely the best thing that she has done for herself.
I hope you enjoy this episode of the Sober Bliss Podcast, Sober Bliss meets Voice of Calm and it will inspire you to begin your own journey out of the chaos of drinking and find your own voice of calm.
