First step to sobriety
When you think of sobriety, quitting drinking or taking a break from alcohol, so many thoughts and feelings pop up and, let’s be honest, not all of them feel good. Even though living alcohol-free is the most loving and empowering thing you can do for yourself, actually taking the step feels like the scariest thing in the world.

So often the very idea of not drinking whether for a few weeks, months or longer, is terrifying to us, even thought we know deep down that it is the right thing to do. There is so much negativity, shame and stigma around the notion of sobriety that sometimes these negative thoughts and feelings, worries and doubts can keep us stuck and prevent us from doing the very thing we want most in the world. Sounds crazy, but it’s true.
