Before I happily stopped drinking alcohol for good I used to get so frustrated and upset with myself. Why couldn’t I just be ‘normal’ like everyone else? Why can’t I just have a couple of beers at the weekend and be happy about it? Why can’t I just moderate?

I wasn’t alone and perhaps you are feeling the same way? One of our gorgeous members posted the other day, “One is too many and a thousand is not enough.” And she’s right.
Drinking can become all consuming, taking over your whole life and trying to moderate just adds to the thoughts, the confusion, the shame and the guilt. And it is exhausting.
In this podcast we will learn why moderating and using willpower doesn’t work and what to do instead.
Quitting drinking is simple, but it’s not easy, I get that. Moderation might seem like a kinder way to help you control your drinking, but really as long as you are still drinking, then you are being controlled – not the other way around.
Everyone I speak to tells me that actually, when they do finally stop, that is when the real reward comes, the peace and freedom, the quieter mind and the space to breathe and be.
If you are tired of trying to moderate and breaking the self imposed rules you set yourself and want an easier, more loving and joyful way to stop drinking, then this podcast is for you.
Stop asking yourself, “Why can’t I just moderate?” and ask yourself another question, a different question, a better question.
I am going to share what I think of moderation having struggled with it myself. I’ll tell you the better questions to ask yourself and a few practical ways to get out of the mindset that is keeping you stuck.
